Nursery Rhyme Manners
Here's a charming little group of rhyming vignettes performed by Moore
Performing Arts, Inc. at the 2004 Highlands Art Festival.
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had so many children she
didn't know what to do. There's miss Muffet and Jill, Jack Horner and Sue.
And now she is caring for Little Boy Blue. All of these classic nursery
rhymes have been adapted into lessons on telling the truth, sharing, sowing
and reaping, throwing tantrums and obeying directions.
This narrative 20-minute play is great to promote good manners. The story
has hopes to be a great children's book.
Royal Fables
Here are four more narrative rhymes performed at the 2005 Highlands Art
Festival. Royal Fables features King Larry's Royal Wardrobe by Rachel A.
Moore, The Frog Prince Poem, an adaption of Charles Perrault's Puss In
Boots, The Princess's in Pink by Christa Dorman and Belle And Her Beau by
Linda Margaret.
The Frog Prince
I am a frog
I live under a spell
I live at the bottom
of a green well.
And here I must wait
Until a maiden places me
On her royal pillow
And kisses me
